Discontinuing this account, moving to new account

Dear everyone, I've decided to discontinue this account, and start over with a new account. It has been a fantastic two years plus here with everyone, and the DA community has been an amazing support for my art. I've decided to move for a few reasons: This account is quite unfocused, and my new account will be entirely drawing-dedicated, in a bid to improve my art further. I've also accumulated a massive backlog of unread messages and deviations, and I'm sorry to everyone about that. I do greatly appreciate all the faves and comments and watches. New computer and Wai-con whine

My new laptop is sexeh! It's been way too long without a computer that doesn't lag, and I'm enjoying every moment of it. Vista is pretty cool, but eats up too much processing power, so I'm having it run in minimal mode. Now to save up for the bag and peripherals, and in the long run, a tablet. I'll be getting Photoshop CS2 from a friend tomorrow. After that, the serious learning and improving begins. After a semester of creative writing class, I'm kinda sick of it all, especially since creative writing is highly subjective. I did learn quite a bit though, but for now, short snappy journalism writing shall be my focus. One sem left before

Old computer dying, new one coming

I've been away for quite a stretch...again. Real life is a bitch. I even had to shut down my main blog coz I've been too busy... Thank you to everyone who've watched me/faved me/commented on my stuff while I was gone. I LOVE you all so very much. I really do. All your comments/faves really encourage me to keep on going as an artist. Anyway, my current computer is reaching the end of its lifespan, and I'm here typing hoping that it won't crash on me in the next five minutes or so before I click the publish button. My current PC is four years old and very limiting anyway (Celeron Processor... 256 RAM...), hence I cannot run Photoshop on it.

You know, looking over your profile, and learning what I have about you through your art, it's kind of surprising to see how similar we are. For example, I adore Switchfoot and Lifehouse. Spiderman 2 is one of my favorite movies of all time. The Incredibles is also one of my favorite movies.

What makes all of this interesting to me is that I have a sneaking suspicion that we like what we like for very similar reasons, perhaps reasons that most other people don't have.

I'd be interested in learning more about you, if it would be okay with you. Who knows, maybe we could end up being buddies? All I know is that I rarely find people as similar to myself as I've found you to maybe be.
